A missing Indiana man had been found “in pieces” after State authorities issued a Silver Alert in their desperate search for him.

55-year-old Shane Van Nguyen was first reported missing last Friday, two days later, police located his black van near Lake Avenue and attempted to pull it over.

Three suspects identified as Matthew Cramer, 21; Jacob D. Carreon-Hamilton, and Cody Clements, both 20, escaped after a pursuit that ended in a crash.

Detectives made a horrendous finding inside Nguyn’s stolen van: His remains were stuffed in several trash bags along with sharp items like blades and a hacksaw, apparently used to dismember his body.

Cramer, admitted to police that he had asked Nguyen for a ride with the intent to kill him. At some point, he placed the man in a chokehold until he passed out.

He detailed how he hit the victim’s head with a rock of concrete and temporarily hid the body in a storage unit before asking the two other suspects for help.

Cramer confirmed Carreon-Hamilton’s claims that he did not take part in the murder but said that the latter taught him “how to cut the body.” The third suspect surrendered on Monday.

“It was brutal and extreme. It’s not every day we come across cases of this butchery,” Fort Wayne PD Sgt. Webb said.
