The NCIS has joined Chula Vista authorities in their desperate search for a missing mom who vanished earlier this year following an argument with her husband.
Maya Millete, 39, vanished on January 7 with her sister telling investigators that she had scheduled an appointment with a divorce lawyer on that same day.

When questioned, Millete’s husband admitted that they had argued before she locked herself in a bedroom. Two days later, her relatives reported her missing.
The search for Millete led investigators to a set of human remains in the Bolsa Chica Wetlands but it turned out to be the remains of a man.
Police said that Millete’s phone and credit card were also missing but had never been used since her disappearance.
