Georgetown news, Ohio news.

An Ohio army vet had passed away earlier this month from coronavirus after two unsuccessful attempts to get vaccinated, his widow said.

On February 23, Bob Rickett was told that he had contracted the deadly illness.

Days earlier, he had been on a drive-thru at a vaccination facility to get inoculated but the supplies ran down.

“I did not think it was real for a long time, until March 4, when he left me,” Susan Rickett said.

Susan, who is 75, has received the jab. Her late husband was 74 and therefore not eligible to get the vaccine in an emergency.

“My husband, Bob, always wore his mask. Even if I had to yell at him about it. ‘You forgot your mask! Oh, I forgot!’ He grabbed it.”

She concluded: “He was my everything. He was my rock. The kids miss him so much. My grandkids miss him so much and, yeah, I’m in pain right now.”
