New York City news, New York news.

Ghislaine Maxwell has been living a deplorable condition since she was booked into the NYC Metropolitan Detention Center, her attorney said adding that she is “losing weight, hair, ability to concentrate and withering to a shell of her former self,” in a Feb. 16 letter.

Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, 58, could spend 35 years behind bars if convicted of criminal charges including human trafficking.

According to Sternheim, “Ms. Maxwell continues to be at the mercy of a revolving group of security officers who are used to guarding hundreds of inmates but now focus their undivided attention exclusively on one respectful, middle-aged female pretrial detainee.”

The 58-year-old woman was allegedly beaten by a prison guard and was denied access to medical assistance.

“Recently, out of view of the security camera, Ms. Maxwell was placed in her isolation cell and physically abused during a pat-down search,” the letter from her lawyer Bobbi Sternheim to judge Alison Nathan mentioned.

“When she asked that the camera be used to capture the occurrence, a guard replied ‘no.’”

“When Ms. Maxwell recoiled in pain and when she said she would report mistreatment, she was threatened with disciplinary action.”

Maxwell’s lawyer argued that six prison guards used to check on his client almost 4 times per hour which deprived her of normal sleep with a camera on her suicide watch cell recording all her moves.
