NYPD actively looking for crook who stole $200k from armored Brink truck

The New York Police Department is looking for a thief who managed to steal a sack of money from an armored Brink truck in front of a Bronx bank Wednesday.

The incident was caught on surveillance video when the suspect snatched the large bag of cash at East 167th Street and Gerard Avenue in Concourse at 2 p.m.

  • The security company employee was removing a sack containing $200,000 from the armored truck and walking towards a Spring Bank when the unidentified thief pushed him, grabbed the sack, and ran away.

    The footage showed the 5 feet 8 inches man of around 160 pounds holding the bag and running off. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie and gray sweatpants.

    The NYPD released the surveillance video late Wednesday in an effort to locate the thief but as of Thursday morning, he remained at large.
