A Florida infant was found dead in her crib on Dec. 23 nearly 10 hours after she was left alone in her crib by her busy dad.
21-year-old Wilner Belizaire called police when he returned home at around 11 p.m. to find the baby stiff and cold laying on her stomach.

Belizaire told detectives that he had to leave for work to pay due rent. He was called into work at around 4 p.m. and looked for a babysitter but couldn’t find one.
“As the suspect was leaving for work, he knew it was wrong to leave the decedent unattended for such a long period but felt pressured to work because of impending rent being due,” the arrest affidavit read.
Belizaire was charged with child neglect and is facing up to 15 years behind bars and 15 years of probation.
