A Georgia man has committed suicide at his Alpharetta home over the weekend after being charged in connection with the Capitol mayhem, reports said.
Christopher Stanton Georgia’s wife called police to report “blood everywhere” after he fatally shot himself in the chest last Saturday.
Police documents revealed the 53-year-old was arrested for breaking the curfew after he refused to leave the Capitol area despite authorities’ repeated orders.
He has been charged with “attempting to enter certain property, that is, the United States Capitol Grounds, against the will of the United States Capitol Police.”
Responding officers found Georgia’s lifeless body in the basement of his home and recovered two semi-automatic rifles from the scene.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a suicide.
