De Blasio cancels Trump’s organization contracts worth over $45 million following mayhem

New York City news, New York news.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday that he will cancel four contracts the city had with the Trump’s organization to operate attractions in the city.

“The contracts make very clear that if the company and the leadership of that company is engaged in illegal activity, we have a right to sever the contract,” de Blasio said.

“Inciting an insurrection against the US government clearly constitutes criminal activity.”

He added: “So, the City of New York will no longer have anything to do with the Trump Organization.”

The contracts are estimated at more than $45 million. The organization is owned by the President but ran by his sons.

“Yet another example of Mayor de Blasio’s incompetence and blatant disregard for the facts,” Eric Trump told ABC News.

“The City of New York has no legal right to end our contracts and if they elect to proceed, they will owe The Trump Organization over $30 million.”

He added: “This is nothing more than political discrimination and we plan to fight vigorously.”
