Denver news, Colorado news.

Mar Lee neighborhood residents woke up Tuesday to a grim discovery as police officers swarmed the area where two suitcases packed with human remains were found.

At around 7:15 a.m., public works employees came upon the suspicious suitcases as they plowed the sidewalks following a snowy night.

When police arrived, they searched the suitcases and determined that the human remains inside belonged to a white man who had died recently.

Detectives started immediately reviewing surveillance footage from the neighborhood and verifying the missing person reports.
