Hit-and-run crash reveals lifeless body of teen inside car with ‘no signs of trauma’

California authorities are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl found lifeless in the backseat of a car involved in a hit-and-run Monday afternoon.

The driver of the car, a 16-year-old girl, appeared to be intoxicated when she crashed into another vehicle and attempted to flee the scene near Bay Village Circle.

In the backseat of the car, the body of a 14-year-old girl was found. However, it did not seem to have been impacted by the crash.

  • “There were no signs of trauma to the victim and the circumstances surrounding her death are still under investigation,” Santa Rosa authorities said in a statement.

    The identities of both juveniles were not released due to their age. The driver remains hospitalized after sustaining critical injuries following the crash.
