Bessemer news, Alabama news.

Cedric Earl Watts Jr. called police in February to report his girlfriend and mom-of-three missing after she headed to a store.

Two months later, the body of 30-year-old Tiffany Osborne was found dead in a garbage-filled, unfinished road off of the 4200 block of Turin Drive.

A lawn cutter came upon the woman’s body wrapped up and hidden under a dumped mattress. The remains were identified as Osborne’s.

  • For the following months, investigators tried to piece together the mystery of Osborne’s murder and ultimately charged 36-year-old Watts with murder.

Detectives believe Watts fatally shot Osborne during a fight before he transported the body to the landfill, wrapped it up, and hid it under the mattress.

Watts was already in jail for probation’s violation when he was hit with the murder charges.

Osborne leaves behind three children including a 3-month-old infant.
