Texas detectives have gathered enough evidence in three murder cases of elderly women to indict a former Dallas healthcare worker.

48-year-old Billy Chemirmir was charged with three additional counts of capital murder by a Dallas County grand jury.

In total, he is now facing 17 counts of capital murder, and two of attempted capital murder.

The family of one of his victims said that blood was found on her pillow and data from the suspect’s phone indicated that he has been around her at a senior facility where she died.

A safe belonging to her was missing when she was discovered unresponsive: “It was just too coincidental. They didn’t take us seriously from the beginning when we said, ‘There’s something wrong here’,” the victim’s niece said.
