An emotionally hurt Florida mom has sustained other injuries on Saturday afternoon when someone shot at her and her relatives during the funeral of her late son.
Quasheda Pierce had lost her 18-year-old son Pierce on Nov. 13 when a deputy fired at what he believed was a stolen car where the teen and a friend, 16, were riding.
Footage from the incident showed the deputies asking the teens to pull over but they continued driving in direction of a deputy who shouted for them to stop.
The deputy, according to Sheriff Wayne Ivey, was “forced to fire his service weapon in an attempt to stop the deadly threat of the car from crashing into him.”
But weeks after the incident, another shooting took place but this time at the Riverview Memorial Gardens cemetery, as mourners left flowers on Pierce’s casket.
The pastor has just finished prayers when shots rang out and a bullet hit Pierce’s mom as relatives run to hide.
No suspects were arrested in connection with this incident as authorities continue to investigate the scene.
