Texas Highway Patrol troopers made a grisly finding after a high-speed chase with a driver who refused to stop while traveling east from Chambers County Saturday morning.
The unidentified 35-year-old driver was speeding and recklessly driving when troopers tried to pull him over.
The man sped away instead leading police on a high-speed chase that ended when he crashed his white Honda passenger twice before exiting the freeway and landing at a church parking lot.
The Fort Bend man was removed from the wrecked car and taken to a hospital, and authorities came upon a woman’s body in the trunk.
The identity of the victim and driver will be released as the investigation proceeds.
