A Texas man has fatally shot his wife’s boyfriend then himself as she watched on Tuesday night but his sister says that he “had just reached a breaking point.”
Jesse McDougle couldn’t find another job after the coronavirus lockdown made him unemployed, which prompted his wife and mother of four children, Gabriella, to leave him.
The woman was at home with her new boyfriend when McDougle showed up and started arguing with them.
Shortly later, the dispute turned violent and McDougle produced a gun before fatally shooting the man and himself in front of his wife.
“What he did, it wasn’t right,” Jesse’s sister said. “There is no excuse. He reached his breaking point.”
“It’s not who he is. That final moment in his life is a strange point. He didn’t have the strength to handle that kind of heartbreak. He cracked, he cracked.”
