Trump campaign has won at least one of his few legal battles when the Georgia election officials announced Friday they will recount the votes due to the margin between him and Biden being under 0.5%.

The President was entitled to request the recount since the race in Georgia was so close with Joe Biden leading by no more than 1,579 votes early Friday.

  • Gabriel Sterling, the Secretary of State Official who announced the recount, added that 4,169 ballots were being tabulated in four counties, and mainly Gwinnett County, home to Democratic-leaning Atlanta suburban communities.

Sterling stressed that the recount process can take weeks but usually concludes in a few hundred of difference in votes from initial findings.

Georgia’s recount wouldn’t be that significant for either party if Biden, who is reportedly leading in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona, is called victor in just one of these three states.
