A Texas man has fatally shot a teen who threatened him with a fake rifle early Friday, police said.
The shooter told investigators that he shot and killed the boy when he approached him along with another teen at an apartment complex on Uvalde Road, Houston.
The teens were armed with toy rifles that looked like real AR-15 prompting the man to use his handgun and shoot one of them in self-defense.
First responders arrived at the scene at around 2 a.m. to find the unharmed teen performing CPR on his friend, but to no avail.
The man was arrested for questioning, as well as the teen that is said to be uncooperative.
