Authorities in Florida have located a submerged car in a large pond on Saturday with a deceased person inside who they believe is a missing mom-of-four.
Tracey Rieker was last seen alive on Wednesday, Sept. 30, according to her husband Christian Rieker. The woman left behind her cellphone and wallet and drove his green Nissan Xterra.
Christian said that he woke up at 6 a.m. and Tracey was nowhere to be found.
The husband noted that during the COVID-19 lockdown, Tracey started to act bizarrely: Her behavior changed and her religious interest intensified; she even had been “fasting for religious purposes.”
At around 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Sarasota County divers located the green Nissan Xterra in a pond in the Toscana Isles.
“Inside the vehicle was a deceased female, believed to be that of Tracey Rieker, 44, missing from her Venice home since Sept. 30,” Police said.
The death of the mother-of-four is being investigated as a traffic homicide as for now.
