A $3,000 reward is being offered by Georgia authorities for any relevant information that could help track down an armed man who has fatally stabbed a 9-year-old girl at her mother’s home last Thursday.

Tegina Brown, a single mother, said that she left her daughter, Alazia “Ally” Johnson alone inside her Peterson Apartment, and went to her job. When she returned home, she found the child dead with serious stab wounds.

“I have to work to support my kids. I had to go to work that night. And I just came home and found my baby.”

The grieving mom and police are seeking the public’s help to identify Ally’s killer: “I just want them to find whoever did this,” she said. “I want them to pay for this. She was my baby, my only girl, my best friend. We talked about everything together. She knew everything.”

“I ask that anyone holding information that could bring an end to this to please come forward,” Tifton Police chief Steve Hyman said in a statement.

Anyone who recognized the suspect or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 1-800-597-TIPS (8477) or 229-382-3132.
