Philadelphia news, Pennsylvania news.

2 Temple College students have escaped death after falling from the fourth floor of an off-campus apartment during a rooftop party early Saturday.

The 19-year-old female partygoers were trying to take a selfie at the residence in the 1800 block of North Bouvier Street when they lost their balance and fell off to an alleyway below.

One of them was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after sustaining critical injuries all over her body while the other was said to have leg and ankle wounds.

“I feel bad for my friend who was there and did see it and had a really rough night trying to deal with that emotionally,” one student said.

Another student said that barriers around the rooftop wouldn’t keep partygoers safe: “There’s not enough room blocking you from falling off. So if you’re drinking and you run right into it, it’s really easy to slip right off because it only comes to like a little halfway between your knee and hip.”

An investigation has been launched into the incident.
