Washington Township news, Pennsylvania news.

A 45-year-old Pennsylvania man has been tracked down and arrested after terrorizing a Washington Township neighborhood for more than a year.

FBI agents identified Jason Muzzicato as the suspect who repeatedly sent a drone carrying explosives to the eastern Pennsylvania neighborhood where his ex-girlfriend lived.

The woman had issued a restraining order against Muzzicato who then started to terrorize the entire area with air raid explosions prompting the FBI to intervene.

“With this combination of homemade bombs, guns, and a drone, this defendant terrorized an entire community,” First Assistant U.S. Attorney Williams said of the suspect’s cache that hid weapons and ammunition.

“His blatant disregard for court orders, the law, and others’ personal safety made him a true threat, and we are grateful to our law enforcement partners that Muzzicato was identified and arrested before anyone was physically hurt.”

“Our office will continue to work with our partners to ensure the security of our communities is not threatened by people who hide behind a remote control.”

Muzzicato pleaded guilty to several charges including possession of a destructive device. He was sentenced to five years behind bars.
