A severely battered New Hampshire wife appeared before a judge Friday and confessed to beheading her new boyfriend under her furious husband’s threats.
Armando Barron, 30, found out that his 31-year-old wife, Britany Barron, had an affair with her 25-year-old co-worker Jonathan Arsenault when searching her phone last Saturday.
The infuriated man battered Britany so hard that she lost consciousness for long hours. Meanwhile, he used her phone to lure Arsenault to his fate at a local park.
When the wife regained her mind, he brought her to meet Arsenault at the park, and once there, he asked her to choose between gunning the man down or crushing his neck with her foot.
Britany couldn’t do either prompting Armando to shoot the boyfriend three times and kill him. He then told Britany to drive the body to the woods: “He communicated to her that once the sun came up the next morning he would forgive her,” police said.
However, Armando brought a saw to where they planned to bury the corpse and commanded Britany to behead Arsenault and bury the remains.
The sinful wife had to dig a hole to conceal the body parts and was in the midst of it when she was burst in on by police.
“I’m in trouble,” Britany exclaimed as officers handcuffed her. Armando was trying to get away with his 9-year-old daughter when he was apprehended. He is being held without bond on capital murder charges.
Britany’s lawyer argued that the poor woman acted “under duress” and confessed to authorities: “In plain English, she helped solve this crime,” Richard Guerriero said.
The prosecution, however, asked for her to be jailed for tampering with evidence: “She did cooperate. She cooperated after she was caught.”
