A tragic murder-suicide has claimed the lives of a 30-year-old father and his small children late last month, according to authorities.
Halie Engleman called police to report that two of her four children were missing.
Responding officers arrived at the Boulder Bluff home on August 27 and discovered the deceased bodies of the small children hidden under a tarp.
Engleman told detectives the girls’ father, Kyle Brandon Grieb told her the night before that he would take his daughters’ away.
The following morning, 2-year-old Amyah Engleman and 6-month-old Caraline Engleman were nowhere to be found.
When the mom asked Grieb about the girls, he pointed to a bathroom and fled to the backyard where he fatally shot himself dead.
All three died from “obvious gunshot wounds to the head.” Engleman’s other children were not harmed.
