Jackson County news, Oregon news.

As the Alameda wildfire continues to burn down more than 3,200 acres in Jackson County, authorities announced that they caught a transient they accuse of setting the fire.

Michael Jarrod Bakkela, 41, was reported by some residents who spotted him lighting a huge fire behind their home on Tuesday. Now, he stands accused of igniting one of the two Alameda fires that killed two people so far.

The State of Oregon has been scorched with several wildfires that left seven people dead and dozens other unaccounted for and consumed 1 million acres forcing tens of thousands of Oregonians to evacuate.

Meanwhile, rumors over the continuing wildfire thrive as many accuse Antifa of setting the flames and others believe Democrats were behind the ravaging fire for political goals.

A Clackamas County Sheriff Officer was put on leave after posting a video accusing Antifa of causing hell: “There’s a lot of lives at stake and there’s a lot of people’s property at stake because these guys got some vendetta.”
