Nashville news, Tennessee news.

Nashville authorities have arrested a dentist who has allegedly hosted a jam-packed party at his “Fashion House” home on Aug. 1 violating the state’s coronavirus restrictions.

Jeffrey W. Mathews, 36, was charged with violating local emergency health orders by inviting hundreds of people inside his home without respecting social distancing measures or wearing face-masks. In Tennessee, gatherings of more than 25 people are not allowed and public health guidance is required.

Christopher “Shi” Eubank, 40, was also charged in the case after several videos of the mass-celebration emerged on social media. Mathews was released on bond and is expected to appear in court on Sept. 21.
