Nebraska girl, 14, caught driving stolen car charged with drug possession

A Nebraska teen has been caught driving a stolen car in downtown Lincoln Tuesday and has been charged with drug possession following her arrest.

A State Patrol trooper spotted the stolen Jeep and stopped the driver to discover a 14-year-old girl behind the wheels. The girl was arrested along with a 43-year-old man later identified as Jay Schultz. Their relationship wasn’t specified. An 18-year-old man was also in the car but wasn’t arrested.

The unidentified teen was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no operator’s license, and theft by receiving stolen property.

She is being held at the Lancaster County Youth Services Center.
