A Georgia teen is being hospitalized in critical condition after being viciously attacked last Friday by a couple of pit bulls while walking in the neighborhood.
Joslyn Stinchcomb was chased by the loose dogs that attacked her head and neck. Police rescued the face-down teen by shooting at one of the pit bulls to frighten them off.
The injuries Stinchcomb sustained were severe: Her scalp and left ear were torn off, her trachea damaged so she was put on a ventilator to breathe: “There is still so much that we don’t know about her injuries,” her aunt said. “But we know that God knows and that can heal her.”
The affected part of Stinchcomb’s skull lost hair that may never grow back and she likely lost the functions of her torn off ear.
