Conn. Man lures teen boy, 14, to his death after months of Snapchat communications

Authorities in Bridgeport, Connecticut announced the arrest of a 19-year-old man who admitted to luring a teenage boy to his death last Tuesday through Snapchat.

The boy’s stepfather reported him missing that same day when he woke up at 5 a.m. and found his front door open and Jose Nunez, 14, missing: “I knew something was wrong,” he said.

Hours later, Campos made some researches on Nunez’s social media and told police about a man who has been communicating with him for months. Meanwhile, Bridgeport investigators were tipped on homicide with a lifeless body dumped just outside the city in a wooded area.

The body turned out to be Nunez. His cause of death was determined as strangulation and his death was ruled a homicide. Diante Willoughby, 19, was arrested and charged with murder: “That person was observed at the scene…he was taken into custody. He made admissions to his involvement.”
