Oklahoma County Jail officials have arrested an escapee who had broken his leg and couldn’t make his way out the facility perimeter after he escaped his 12th-floor cell along with another inmate who was arrested hours later.
Pablo Robledo, 34, and cellmate Jose Hernandez escaped from a broken window early Friday morning from the 13-story prison where they were held for murder and assault charges. They fashioned a 100 feet long rope with bedsheets and jumped when arriving at the fourth-story. One of them broke his leg and was spotted laying on the grass while the other broke his ankle and was on his way to his father’s home.
“Moving forward, we will use this incident as another way to improve the physical security of the facility, as well as the quality of life for those who work and live within the detention center,” official Greg Williams said.
