Lakeland Police said that the main suspect in the murder case of a Florida woman who had vanished nearly a month ago is already behind bars.

The deceased body of 22-year-old Takeria Adderly was discovered in heavy vegetation by dag handlers training their animals early last Wednesday. Adderly was last seen alive on June 30. Her death was ruled a homicide.

On July 10, Adderly’s car was located and 21-year-old Christian Darrach was arrested after evidence linked him to the stolen vehicle. He was charged with grand theft, burglary, and tampering with evidence.

Authorities believe that Adderly’s suspected killer is Darrach. Charges against him will be upgraded. The investigation is ongoing.
