Four suspects have been apprehended in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Georgia mom of two who was found dead in a wooded area not far from her stolen car was found, abandoned.
Tameka Skinner, 39, was abducted at 1 a.m. Monday from her apartment and the assailant stole her car and assaulted a male friend that tried to intervene. Hours later, Skinner’s car was found in Russell County woods and with her body a few miles away. As police approached, four suspects drove off leading authorities into a chase.
Demetria Johnson and Joshua Tolbert, 30, along with Sean Johnson, 40, and Javion Phillips, 33, were arrested when the car wrecked. A gun believed to be used in the attack has been recovered.
“Very joyful, humorous and caring, and God-fearing woman,” the victim’s uncle described the mother of two girls. A motive for the crime wasn’t immediately revealed.
