The Florida daughter of a physician and a nurse has succumbed to the novel coronavirus after her parents interfered in her treatment initially holding her home, then refusing to let her be intubated.

Carsyn Leigh Davis, 17-year-old, attended a church party two weeks prior to her death on June 23. Davis had several underlying health conditions including obesity and immunity disorders.

The teen’s parents treated her at home for the first week using azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine before transporting her to Gulf Coast Medical Center. Still, they refused to allow her to be intubated and opted for plasma treatment. When her condition deteriorated, they accepted the intubation, but it was too late.
