Authorities in Seaford, Delaware are investigating a possible hate crime after a black resident reported finding a noose in front of his property on Saturday.
The 59-year-old unidentified victim has reportedly found a cord tied into a noose on his front step railing. The suspect may have trespassed onto his residence on Friday while he was at work, Delaware State Police said.
Investigators conducted several questionings of the victim’s neighbors as well as possible witnesses that were in the area in an attempt to identify a suspect but no relevant information has been provided.
Delaware State Police is urging people with information regarding the Seaford incident to contact the department.
