Mesquite Police said in a statement that a Nevada father will avoid prosecution for the shooting death of his son who tried to kill his mother during a heated argument because the killing was “justified.”
The incident occurred early Monday morning when the woman and her drug addict son got into a fight amid which, he threatened to kill his parents before pointing a knife towards his mom. This is when the man’s father opened fire at him several times killing him. He was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect will not face prosecution because he believed his son “was about to stab his mother so he was forced to shoot him to save her life,” police said.
