First in Minnesota history: National Guard troops deployed to control unrest

Minneapolis news, Minnesota news.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has deployed all National Guard members in the state in a historic step aiming to take control of the chaotic situation he believes caused by drug cartels and white supremacists.

The governor expressed his fears over the unrest that continues in Minneapolis, where George Floyd had died, and other neighboring cities, and estimated that 80 percent of the protestors aren’t even state residents.

“The absolute chaos, this is not grieving, and this is not making a statement that we fully acknowledge needs to be fixed, this is dangerous. You need to go home.”

Trump blamed the “poor leadership” and agitators of the violent demonstrations: “It’s ANTIFA and the Radical Left. Don’t lay the blame on others!” he tweeted Saturday.
