Minnesota Police is being condemned by shocked residents after the death of a black man who had been seen in a widely shared video pleading for his life as a white officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes.
The heartbreaking incident sparked outrage in Minnesota and the whole country reminding Americans of the 2014 Eric Garner’s case. On Monday night, bystanders watched in Chicago Avenue outside a Cup Foods market where George Floyd was being aggressively apprehended after handing out a fake $20 bill.
Floyd reportedly resisted arrest before being pinned to the ground with a cop kneeling on his neck. He started bleeding from the nose, told officers he couldn’t breathe and that he was in pain. Minutes later, he became motionless under the cop’s knee.
