It appears that just as life returned to Daytona and Myrtle Beaches on Memorial Day weekend, violence returned as well with several shootings taking place leaving at least six victims.
Rather than sunbathing or strolling on the sands at the Sunshine State beaches, some visitors have started firing at each other forcing Daytona Beach Police officers to intervene in several shootings on Saturday.
“Six people shot/wounded during beach day near the boardwalk. Non-life-threatening injuries. Much of the confrontation occurred at the 7-eleven store,” a local reporter tweeted.
Similar incidents unfolded in Myrtle Beach where many people have been shot with suspects still at large, according to Cpl Tom Vest.
