Missouri hair stylist with COVID-19 worked for a week while symptomatic exposing 91 people to virus

Missouri authorities are tracking down 91 people that have come to contact symptomatic, COVID-19 infected hair-stylist over eight days starting May 12.

Officials believe that 84 Great Clips clients and seven workers at the hair salon have been exposed to the novel coronavirus after one employee tested positive and worked while symptomatic.

“The good news is both the clients and the hairstylists were masked,” said Clay Goddard, director of Springfield County Health Department. The identity of the contaminated stylist was not publicly revealed.

The salon was closed for cleaning and disinfecting and authorities say that it is “safe to go there” at the moment. Residents who visited the Great Clips Salon and are showing symptoms are asked to isolate and seek free testing.
