Despite Trump’s plea to celebrate at home, many churches will still hold Easter services

Several pastors across the states have announced their plans to open the churches and hold Easter Sunday services despite the President’s plea to keep the faithful home during this tough situation.

“Though we will not be able to gather together with one another as we normally would on Easter, we can use this sacred time to focus on prayer reflection and growing in our personal relationship with God,” Trump said on Good Friday.

However, the president’s advice won’t be followed in many churches including Houston’s Glorious Way where the services will still be held: “When it turned into Holy Week, when it turned into Palm Sunday and now approaching Easter Sunday, this is a special time of year. It’s never been shut down, and so we must do this,” Pastor James Buntrock said.
