Seymour news, Iowa news.

An Iowa man took no notice of the state of emergency currently implemented throughout the country due to the coronavirus pandemic and invited more than 600 people a horse auction.

The visitors came from several neighboring states including Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri and Wisconsin ignoring the unprecedented circumstances to buy horses at the auction hosted by Ura Gingerich, the Midwest Trotting Horse Sale operator. More than 150 horses were sold.

Reports said that people were screened for the novel virus before attending the auction which made it impossible to legally break in the gathering. The incident prompted the state to change the rules, limiting gatherings at animal auctions to 10 people.
