A Texas nurse who had the novel virus said through a video from her hospital bed that she is suffering to breathe, walk, drink and eat after the illness had ravaged her body.
“I never felt a gunshot, but this is probably worse than a gunshot,” Shareka Williams said. “It hurts, and it hurts like hell. Sometimes God will take you out of your comfort zone. Right now, I trust God with my life.”
Williams said that all activities are hurting her, even breathing: “You can barely eat, you can barely walk. You can’t breaths because it hurts so bad,” she added.
The nurse said that she hopes people would stop “joking” around and follow social distancing measures: “Don’t wait before it’s too late. Don’t wait for it to affect your family. Don’t wait for it to affect you.”
