Authorities in North Florida are investigating what a man in Jacksonville was spraying at businesses’ doors as he told employees and patrons: “You are now infected with COVID-19.”
On March 29, witnesses reported an intentional COVID-19 contamination incident at around midnight. They told detectives that a man, later identified as David White, entered a business and sprayed something he labeled COVID-19 on and around the area.
White then told passersby and employees that they were infected. The involved businesses had no other choice but to disinfect and sanitize the scene as precautionary measures. White has been charged with use of a weapon of mass destruction or hoax weapon of mass destruction.
