Alabama news.

On March 6, a 3-year-old Alabama boy lost his life at a local hospital from a possible drug overdose and police arrested his grandmother’s boyfriend for letting him into an unspecified substance.

The incident took place at Carter Thomas's paternal grandmother’s house. Deputies found him unconscious and declared him dead shortly after being rushed to a medical facility. At this time, the circumstances of his death remain undetermined.

The grandmother’s boyfriend, Leon Richey, who has previously served jail time for heroin possession was booked in connection with his death after he allegedly allowed him to come in touch with a controlled substance: “A lot of people are asking me what happened, but I can’t tell them what happened because I don’t know myself,” The boy's grieving mom said.
