A convicted killer was hit by additional charges after evidence linked him to a mortal drug overdose that cost the life of a man early this month.

On Thursday, Markquis “Two” Bryant, 48-year-old, was charged with several new counts including possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime after selling drugs to a Florissant man who died of a fatal overdose on March 6.

Authorities arrested Bryant at his property Thursday after undercover purchases of heroin and fentanyl has been made by deputies. At least five handguns were discovered at Bryant’s home when it was raided as well as other amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin.

He was previously found guilty of killing a St. Louis man in 1998.
