Pace news, Florida news.

On Wednesday, police found skeletal remains near the Escambia River Bridge that belonged to the boy who vanished from his Colorado Springs neighborhood while he was in the care of his stepmother on January 27.

The remains of Gannon Stauch, 11, were located by the Santa Rosa authorities about 1,377 miles away from where he was last seen alive. The boy’s stepmother, Letecia Stauch was arrested earlier this month in connection with his disappearance and is currently facing first-degree murder charges.

“It’s a long Bridge. The body was along the side of the bridge, but not in the water. We don’t know when the body was placed there,” Sgt. Rich Aloy stated.
