Orange County authorities have arrested a lawyer accused of selling firearms without a license and selling methamphetamine.
41-year-old Melinda Romines, of Anaheim, was charged with one count of conspiracy to engage in dealing firearms without a license, one count of possessing an unregistered firearm, and two counts of distributing methamphetamine.
In May 2018, Romines sold a .40-caliber pistol and an AR-style rifle that brought her $2,600. She also allegedly sold other weapons in October 2018 for $900 and a quarter of a pound of meth.
“She then acted as a broker between the black-market dealers and customers, ultimately buying firearms from the dealers and then re-selling them to customers,” the Attorney Office said.
