Man stabs brother to death amid heated argument

Watsonville authorities arrested a 28-year-old man after he fatally stabbed his younger brother inside their home early Friday morning amid a heated argument.

At around 2 a.m., police were called to the property located in the 1400 block of Green Valley Road. Once inside, they found the 26-year-old victim, Christopher Keeler, bleeding from at least one stab wound. He was transported to a trauma center in Monterey County where he was declared dead that same day, the spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office, Ashley Keehn, stated.

The victim's older brother, Joseph Keeler, who is facing murder charges was arrested without incident. His bail is set on $750,000.

A knife with a blade about 5-6 inches has been recovered at the house where the brothers lived.
