Philadelphia police identified suspect in custody for fatally shooting a 16-year-old girl

The suspect in police custody who shot and killed a 16-year-old girl in North Philadelphia was identified as Robert Jamieson, 41. The shooting took place shortly after 16:30. at 22nd Street and Sedgley Avenue on Saturday.

Sources say Jamieson will be charged with murder and three counts of attempted murder.

Investigators say they have recovered a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun, which they would not have allowed to carry with Jamieson.

Police say Jamieson has eight priors.

According to the police, Jamieson was walking down the street, pulling his gun by chance as people were getting off a bus from SEPTA. He shot a woman first, but she was not beaten. But he continued to shoot and fatally hit a 14-year-old girl.

During the last audit, Jamieson is waiting for his appearance.
