A mother was booked without bail and charged with aggravated battery after she confessed to holding her 2-month-old daughter by her both legs and slamming her face-first onto the kitchen floor which caused her serious trauma.
On Nov. 18, the baby's dad found her unconscious at Nina Singleton's apartment. He wanted to call the ambulance but Singleton tried to deny him.
The toddler was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where it was confirmed that she sustained 10 fractures to the face, shoulder, and legs, as well as trauma in the head and bleeding in the brain.
Singleton admitted that she used to beat her child repeatedly many times since birth because she looked like her father.
