Police in New Haven, Connecticut is searching for the suspect who stole an SUV from a school parking lot with two small children inside.
The car was reportedly stolen from Roberto Clemente Elementary School parking lot on Wednesday afternoon when the children's mother went to pick up a third child. The children were a 5-year-old boy and a 10-month-old girl.
They were found an hour after the car was stolen by a Good Samaritan who was driving along English Drive: "The little boy was just huddled with his sister like he was protecting her, holding onto her," Kasandra Monteiro, the woman who found the children said. "Their mom was crying tears, happy to find her children and so thankful they were found. She thanked me."
The stolen car is a grey Mercedes SUV with black tinted windows.
